These terms cover buying from thehillbillyway.com. By placing an order you agree to them. The store is The Hillbilly Way. Write to us any time at contact@thehillbillyway.com.

1. About the McCoy family

Billy Ray, Loretta Jean and Earl McCoy are characters. Their pictures, voices and stories are made with the help of AI for our YouTube channels and these books, so the old ways can be told in one family's voice. The tricks, recipes and methods in the books are researched from old-time and published sources. Sassafras Holler is part of the story, not our business address.

2. What you buy

Digital books in PDF, and audiobooks if you add them. Buying gives you a personal licence: read them, print them for your own household and keep them. You may not copy, share, upload, resell or give away the files or any part of them, or use them to train software. Everything in the books and on this site belongs to The Hillbilly Way and is protected by copyright.

3. Delivery

Your books open on the thank-you page and arrive by email a minute after you pay. If a book is still being finished when you buy it, we email it to you the day it's ready, at no extra cost. Please give us an email address you can open. If nothing arrives within 30 minutes, check your spam folder, then use Find my books or write to us.

4. Price and payment

Prices are in US dollars and charged once. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Stripe processes the payment; your card number never touches our site. Your statement shows E-BOOK* HILLBILLY WAY. We may change prices at any time; the price shown when you pay is the price you pay. If we ever show a clearly wrong price by mistake, we'll tell you and refund you in full.

5. Refunds and your right to cancel

You have 30 days to ask for a full refund, no questions asked, and you keep the books. See the refund policy.

If you live in the EU or the UK: because these are digital books delivered right away, by paying you ask us to deliver them immediately and you accept that the legal 14-day right to cancel ends once delivery starts. Our 30-day guarantee still applies on top of that.

6. Please ask us before your bank

If something is wrong, write to us first. A refund from us is quicker than a bank dispute and comes back in full. If a payment is disputed, we will share the order and delivery records with the bank. Download links stop working for orders that are refunded through a bank dispute or charged with a card that wasn't yours.

7. Safety, health and results

The books share old household ways for general education. They are not medical, legal, electrical, gas, financial or professional advice. Some tasks involve fire, stoves, heat, tools, ladders, chemicals, food storage and animals. Follow the safety notes, follow your local laws and building codes, and ask a qualified professional when in doubt. Remedies do not replace your doctor. 8. Comments and reviews

The comments on our pages were written by real viewers under our YouTube videos. They are those people's own words and opinions about our free videos, not reviews of the books, and they are not paid. Long ones are shortened where you see "…". If you send us a review, you let us show it on this site with your first name and town, and we may shorten it. We never change what a review means.

9. Our emails

We email you about your order. We only send The Sunday Porch Letter or the free checklist letters if you asked for them. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link.

10. Limits on our responsibility

We do our best to keep the site working and the books accurate, but we provide them as they are. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, and our total responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on the day you bought.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live and can bring a claim in your own courts.
